Three Royal Navy Avenger T.1 will participate in the static display at Malta International Airshow 2023! The Avengers belong to the 750 Naval Air Squadron who back in 1959 were stationed at RNAS Hal Far, also known as HMS Falcon! Back then the squadron was part of the Fleet Air Arm’s Observer School, conducting Observer training with nine Percival Sea Prince T.1 flying classrooms. Its main task was providing basic training to officers before they moved on to specialist operational flying Units at various Naval Air Stations across the UK.
Nowadays, 750 NAS is based at RNAS Culdrose and still trains Observers, the specialists who navigate, operate communications systems and control the weaponry of the Navy’s Fleet Air Arm.
