Earlier today, NATO’s next Multi-role tanker transport aircraft ‘T-060’ was unveiled at LMML following a paint job performed at Aviation Cosmetics Malta. The aircraft performed a series of engine idle runs in preparation for its delivery flight tomorrow afternoon.

The full MMF fleet will consist of 9 Multi-role tanker transport aircraft able to provide strategic transport, air-to-air refueling and medical evacuation capabilities to its six participating nations (Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Norway). The aircraft are owned by NATO and managed by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) with the support of the Organization for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR) on the acquisition phase. Among the nine MMF aircraft, five will be based in Eindhoven, and four in Cologne.
