Norwegian Goddess of Love & Beauty in LMML

This afternoon, a Royal Norwegian Air Force C-130J-30 Hercules visited LMML on a training flight. The aircraft is one of four active aircraft belonging to 335 Squadron based at Gardermoen Air Station, 50km north of Oslo. It sports the name Frøya on its port side, which according to Norwegian mythology was the Goddess of Love & Beauty.

On 15 March 2012, a Norwegian C-130J-30 Super Hercules crashed into the western face of Mount Kebnekaise near Kiruna, Sweden. Unfortunately, all five people on board were killed in the accident.
