Swiss Air Force Pilatus PC-24 spotted this morning at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport. The Swiss Air Force operates the plane from Bern Airport and forms part of Lufttransportgeschwader 2. It’s military registration is ‘T-786’ while the aircraft’s serial number is 121.
The Swiss government officially took delivery of the Pilatus PC-24 ordered in 2014 on 18 February 2019. The brand-new PC-24 Super Versatile Jet will replace a similarly sized Cessna Citation XLS ‘T-784’ which is reaching the end of its service life. The Citation was also previously used for government flights.
The PC-24 can carry 11 passengers and one pilot has a short take-off distance (856 metres or 2,810 feet) and can use unpaved runways. It comes with a cargo door as standard and can reach speeds of 440 knots (815 km/h) with a range of 3,275km (2,035 miles).
