BAF’s Latest Addition in LMML

On Monday 19th October 2020, the Belgian Air Force visited LMML to perform a training flight with the newest addition to its fleet i.e. The Dassault Falcon 7X.

The airframe in question, having registration ‘OO-LUM’, belongs to 21 Squadron of the 15th Wing and is stationed at Melsbroek Air Base. ‘OO-LUM’ was delivered to the Belgian Air Force towards the end of April 2020. It has since been flying to qualify four crews and began its first transport missions, carrying only military personnel to date. It still sports a civilian livery and markings, in contrast to the other delivered Dassault Falcon 7X with registration ‘OO-FAE’, that has been adorned with Belgian Air Force markings and titles.

The Belgian Air Force has leased 2 Falcon 7X from Luxaviation (the latter being OO-FAE) which have been operational only since the 1st of October for the transport of passengers, and in particular VIPs like members of the royal family, ministers of the Belgian government or European institutions officials.
