Typhoon Flag remains one of the Italian Air Force’s most important annual training events, a cornerstone of combat readiness and interoperability for its Eurofighter Typhoon fleet. The 2026 edition, which was held from the 12th till the 27th of February at Trapani-Birgi Air Base, once again brought together all Italian units operating the F2000 to focus on a critical objective: operational and maintenance standardisation across the fleet.
Exercise Garuda 2025 has emerged as a symbol of deepening operational and strategic collaboration between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the French Air and Space Force (FAF). The exercise commenced on 16 November 2025 at the Mont-de-Marsan Air Base and finished on 27 November, marking the eighth edition of one of India’s most enduring bilateral air engagements with a Western partner.
TACTICAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME 25-4
TLP Flying Course 25-4 marks the final Tactical Leadership Programme course of 2025, bringing a multinational mix of fighter and support aircraft to Albacete-Los Llanos Air Base for an intensive three-week phase of advanced air combat training. The course continues TLP’s core mission of sharpening NATO and partner-nation leadership, planning, and interoperability in complex, combined air operations.
OCEAN SKY and EART 2025 were hosted in the Canary Islands, Spain, from October 15 to 31, 2025, representing one of Europe’s most advanced multinational air combat and air mobility cooperation events. These concurrent exercises showcased Europe’s operational readiness, innovation, and coalition strength in a strategically vital southern region. MAR was present to report on both events and was also invited by EATC to attend the media day for EART, which included boarding a Spanish Air Force A400M to witness AAR operations.
Anatolian Eagle 2025 took place from June 23 to July 4, 2025, at the 3rd Main Jet Base in Konya, Turkey, bringing together NATO and regional air arms for high-end, scenario-driven missions across a 300 x 400 km airspace that minimises transit time and maximises training value.
INIOCHOS 2025, Held at Andravida Air Base in Greece from March 31 to April 11 2025, was a multinational air exercise involving 12 participating nations and several observers. It featured a wide array of missions, including offensive counter-air, air interdiction, anti-surface warfare, combat search and rescue, and night operations, supported by simulated training elements. The event logged over 1,300 sorties, underscored Greece’s role in regional defence cooperation, and set a new benchmark for combined allied air-power exercises.
